Wheels Day

Room 1 had a great time at wheels day today. We did have a couple of little crashes which resulted in some minor injuries but the kids were happy to get back on their bikes and ride some more. Even the children who didn't bring wheels were having fun running around with their peers.

Ronald McDonald

The Junior School have been lucky enough to receive a visit from Ronald McDonald, who came to talk to the children about road safety. The children heard all about how to walk safely by a road, look out on sneaky driveways, and cross the road safely. Cooper, a road patrol monitor from the senior school, came along to demonstrate how the road patrol help us cross the road safely.

Ronald McDonald also taught us a song to remember how to cross the road safely.

Market Day

Room 1 worked really hard to design and create their decorations to sell at Market Day. Students first designed their decorations using a template and crayons in the class. They then had to use beads and a shaped mold to make their decorations. The beads were then ironed until the fused together. The decorations were then removed from the mold and a ribbon was put through to hang the object from. All of the students did so well using their fine motor skills to place the little beads on the mold one at a time.

The decorations were sold for $1.00 each at the market day. They were very popular with the other students and sold out really quickly.

Students also made melted bead necklaces and magnets, masks, and gift boxes. All of the items sold really well. The students were all really proud of their productions and happy with how many were sold. We are hoping to have made lots of money to go towards our EOTC in December.
